About FANUC CNC Controller Repair
FANUC control faults split between the CNC/PMC side and the drive side. 400/401/414 and SV alarms are servo (amplifier or feedback), SP alarms are spindle, and 300-series alarms are pulse-coder/feedback. We read the alarm and diagnosis screens, check the amplifier LEDs and the feedback path, and confirm whether it's the control, an alpha-i amplifier or an encoder before quoting.
SRAM battery failures wipe parameters, PMC and pitch-error compensation — we recover and restore from backup (or reconstruct where none exists) so accuracy and referencing come back exactly right. For obsolete 0-MC/16i controls we repair at board level since a full retrofit is rarely justified on an otherwise-good machine.
